Welcome to the City of West Okoboji

City hall landscaping doubles as rain garden
A
Like all Living Roadway Trust-funded
plantings, the new landscaping in front of West Okoboji's city hall uses
native plants to reduce maintenance, provide habitat, and offer educational
opportunities. The West Okoboji planting also serves as a rain garden,
collecting runoff from the building and parking lot. By reducing runoff, rain
gardens help prevent erosion and flooding.

The City of West Okoboji is located in Dickinson County nestled between Arnolds Park and Wahpeton. Water sports on West Lake Okoboji range from sailing to scuba diving and from swimming to water skiing. Sandy beaches invite all to spend lazy afternoons by the shore and in the swimming areas. For the more daring, wind surfing and parasailing provide more opportunities for excitement.
